The Move Out
After 12 years of this being home for the llamas at the Llamas del Sol sanctuary, we have to move the llamas out. The acre of land was sold this November for more than we could afford to pay. We had a good run leasing this property from a kind owner who passed away recently. We will still care for llamas but have to move our llama setup a few blocks away to another field.
We are lucky there is still some open space in the neighborhood with generous neighbors willing to have llamas on their unused land. They also get a good tax deduction for the agriculture credit. These next few videos show the end of an era. Uno and Viejo are the last llamas to move while the new owner is setting up his cattle ranch. We will still take appointments when we can but please be patient while we restructure the visitors area.

Rescue Llamas Need Your HelpWe at Llamas del Sol, Inc. do everything we can to help any llama in need. Sometimes our rescues are because the owners must relocate and can no longer care for their llamas. Other times it is due to hard economic times. And sometimes the rescue is more urgent. Southwest Llama Rescue (SWLR) and Llamas del Sol are working together to provide forever homes to all llamas in need. If you would like to donate to the care of rescue llamas click on our DONATE link that takes you to our 501(c)(3) tax deductible webpage. If you are interested in foster care or adoption, contact us directly. Thank you, Lynda
