Guadalupe Trail Acequia Walk
This is a neighborhood walk on the backside of homes, farms, fields, wineries and ranches for those who would like to see the rural side of North Albuquerque.  An acequia is an irrigation ditch.  Albuquerque is one of the last remaining cities in the US that maintains an irrigation system and they are fast going extinct.  The irrigation ditches are a part of the valley culture that began with the Pueblo tribes who farmed here 1,500 years ago.  Along the ditches you can see frogs, crawfish, ducks, geese, and the occasional fox or migrating Sandhill crane in season.

Easy level trails – no transport required
2 hour trek
  • $75 for adults (each)
  • $40 for children aged 4 to 12 years (with adult)
  • Children 3 years and under free
